Job Description

Position Overview
The Air Team Travel Coordinator is responsible for the accurate, efficient, and timely handling of air travel bookings and ticketing processes. This position plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the travel team, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and internal compliance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Sabre, TRAMS, and BSP reporting, and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile and manage the daily interface between Sabre (GDS) and TRAMS accounting system, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and mapped.
  • Run and review BSP reports on a weekly basis; ensure compliance with IATA regulations and verify all ticketing transactions are processed correctly.
  • Monitor, check, and action all queues in Sabre across multiple pseudo city codes (e.g., N155 and GW6A), ensuring timely processing of schedule changes, cancellations, or new bookings.
  • Monitor shared inboxes and individual email accounts to respond promptly and professionally to client and supplier inquiries.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting clients with all aspects of air travel, including reservations, rebookings, upgrades, cancellations, and travel advisories.
  • Answer incoming calls in a courteous and efficient manner, handling client needs or directing calls to appropriate team members.
  • Input and maintain accurate client and booking data in internal systems; ensure proper documentation and audit trails are in place.
  • Prepare and issue invoices related to air transactions in compliance with agency policies and accounting practices.
  • Attend regular team meetings, vendor training sessions, and company updates to stay informed on new policies, technology changes, and industry updates.
  • Maintain electronic and paper files related to bookings and ticketing in an orderly and accessible format for auditing and operational needs.
  • Perform general administrative duties as assigned by management, supporting the broader goals of the Air Team and the travel department.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a travel services or corporate travel environment preferred.
  • Proficiency in Sabre (GDS) required.
  • A certificate or diploma in Travel and Tourism, Tourism and Hospitality Management, or completion of industry-Recognized IATA courses is considered a strong asset.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Travel Associate (CTA), Certified Travel Counsellor (CTC), or equivalent, are also highly valued.
  • Experience with TRAMS or similar back-office Accounting software preferred.
  • Knowledge of BSP processes and IATA compliance is desirable.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment. High level of professionalism and customer service orientation.
